Gamified hiring platform evaluating real cognitive and problem-solving skills — built for Insight Fusion Analytics.
Skillquest IFA is a next-generation hiring platform that replaces traditional CV screening with gamified cognitive challenges and skill assessments. Built for Insight Fusion Analytics, the platform evaluates candidates on real-world problem-solving ability, analytical thinking, and domain knowledge — metrics proven to be more predictive of job performance than résumés alone.
The platform creates an objective, standardized evaluation pipeline that surfaces the best candidates regardless of educational background or presentation skills, enabling more equitable and effective hiring decisions.
Traditional hiring processes are plagued by résumé bias, inefficient screening, and poor signal quality. Hiring managers spend hours reviewing applications that look identical on paper, with no reliable way to differentiate candidates based on actual ability. Standard interviews also suffer from inconsistency and interviewer bias.
Skillquest IFA solves this by creating a data-driven, tamper-resistant evaluation pipeline that scores candidates on actual performance across standardized challenges — giving hiring managers a clear, quantitative signal for every candidate who completes the assessment.
Built with Next.js App Router for SSR and dynamic routing, ensuring fast page loads and full SEO coverage. PostgreSQL with Drizzle ORM provides type-safe, efficient data access for candidate records and assessment results with strong referential integrity. The assessment engine runs server-side to prevent client-side manipulation of answers or timing. React powers the gamified challenge interfaces with smooth transitions between question stages. Deployed on Vercel for globally distributed performance.
Skillquest IFA is a live enterprise product used in actual hiring workflows at Insight Fusion Analytics. The project developed deep skills in building fair assessment architectures, designing tamper-proof server-side evaluation systems, and creating a user experience that motivates authentic candidate performance — all core challenges in building effective HR technology at scale.
